In a customized client project, they requested the addition of a BOPP zipper bonding function to our existing PE/PP zipper attachment machine. Due to the smooth surface, high tensile strength, and high heat-sealing temperature of BOPP material, its processing characteristics differ significantly from PE and PP, posing new challenges to the bonding accuracy and welding stability of the equipment.
To meet the client's needs, our engineering team, after numerous discussions and experiments, decided to add an ultrasonic zipper bonding system to the bonding module. This system enables high-frequency energy welding between different film materials, ensuring a firm bond for BOPP zippers even at high speeds, unaffected by temperature fluctuations or changes in film tension. Simultaneously, we redesigned the guide angle and pressure control system specifically for the characteristics of BOPP film to prevent film stretching and deformation, ensuring stable and precise bonding.
During the trial run, we conducted hundreds of repeated adjustments and tests on the equipment, including ultrasonic power matching, frequency synchronization calibration, and temperature response optimization. Ultimately, we successfully achieved multi-material compatible bonding production of PE, PP, and BOPP, not only meeting the client's needs but also expanding the equipment's application scenarios.
The client was extremely satisfied with the equipment's performance during acceptance testing, particularly noting that the new system's bonding strength and operational stability exceeded expectations. They also praised our team for completing the entire design, manufacturing, and commissioning process in a short time.
