In a collaboration with a European client, they presented a specific requirement: they wanted us to help them laminate waterproof zippers onto a nonwoven composite material for the production of an environmentally friendly adult urine bag. This product is primarily targeted at the European medical and long-term care market, emphasizing resealable, biodegradable, and comfortable user experience.
Initially, the client provided a nonwoven composite PE raw material. However, during trial runs, we discovered inconsistent tension between the upper and lower layers, causing misalignment and deviation during lamination, affecting the product's sealing performance and appearance.
To address this challenge, our engineering team conducted numerous tests and ultimately adopted a solution that included pre-defined fabric width and a precision cutting system. Real-time tension control ensured synchronized operation of the upper and lower fabric layers. This not only resolved the uneven material tension issue but also resulted in a smooth and robust zipper lamination line.
Finally, we successfully completed the entire production line using our in-house PE/PP Zipper Attachment Machine. The finished urine bags exhibited excellent sealing performance and smooth opening and closing, successfully meeting the client's testing standards. This project fully demonstrates our extensive experience in handling non-standard materials, tension control, and bonding technology, and also provides a reliable solution for environmentally friendly packaging in the European market.
